A no-strings 4,000 dollar cash grant from the Unitary Foundation for work that grows the quantum technology ecosystem, which the foundation defines broadly enough to cover open-source quantum software, educational materials and workshops, and new quantum sensor prototypes. There is no credential, institutional affiliation or prior quantum experience requirement and applicants can be based anywhere in the world, which makes it one of the few quantum funding routes genuinely open to self-taught and unaffiliated people. The application is a short form plus a two-minute video and is reviewed on a rolling basis. More than 100 microgrants have been awarded to recipients in 31 or more countries, and grantee work has fed into 40-plus new libraries and hundreds of citing papers.
