About WIGSAT

WIGSAT - Women Inspiring Girls in STEM, Advancement & Training - is an independent directory of education, training, and career pathways for women and girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

What WIGSAT is

WIGSAT indexes STEM programs by country, level, field, and audience so families, students, and mentors can find the right next step. Our directory covers K-12 STEM camps, coding bootcamps, undergraduate programs, graduate fellowships, professional re-entry programs, and the scholarships that fund them - in more than 50 countries.

Alongside the directory, we publish editorial content explaining the field: profiles of women in STEM, country-by-country guides, methodology pieces, and topic articles on digital equity, ICT skills, environmental STEM, mentorship, and adjacent areas. The editorial work is designed to help readers - students, parents, mentors, policy professionals - make sense of a field that has many overlapping institutions and frameworks.

How the directory is organized

Editorial independence

WIGSAT is an editorial project, not a member organization. We are not affiliated with WISAT (wisat.org), with any of the universities listed in the directory, with the L'Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science program, with OWSD, with any government science agency, or with any of the corporate sponsors of programs we list. We do not accept payment for inclusion in the directory. Programs are added on the basis of editorial judgment about substance and reputation.

Content policy

WIGSAT is produced by a small editorial team. We write all our own content, link out to authoritative current sources for further reading, and do not republish copyrighted material from other organizations. Where we profile public figures, we use only publicly available information. Where we describe specific programs, organizations, and policy frameworks, we use only publicly available information and link to the current authoritative sources.

Submit a program or correction

If you run a program for women or girls in STEM that isn't yet in our directory, or if you spot an error in a country page or listing, please send the details via our submission form. We review submissions in the order received and respond to confirmed inclusions and corrections.
