RIKEN's Special Postdoctoral Researcher Program gives early-career scientists the opportunity to conduct autonomous, independent research of their own choosing at RIKEN in Japan. It supports all fields relevant to RIKEN, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, medical science, and engineering, on a three-year fixed-term basis with salary and a research budget. Selection is by document screening and interview before an expert committee.
