A Royal Academy of Engineering scheme supporting outstanding early-career researchers to establish an independent research career in engineering at a UK institution. Awards run for up to five years and combine research funding with mentoring and access to the Academy's fellowship network. From 2026 the scheme uses a two-stage application process beginning with an outline submission.
