A nine-week mentored AI safety research fellowship based at the London Initiative for Safe AI (LISA) in London, with extensions of up to six months available and most recent cohorts seeing the majority of fellows extended. Fellows receive a stipend of GBP 6,000 to 8,000, covered travel to London, a GBP 2,400 housing allowance for those relocating, compute for their research, weekly one-to-one mentorship, research management and an in-person workspace with weekday meals. Open to anyone 18 or older committed to AI safety, from backgrounds including machine learning, philosophy, policy, physics and biology.
