A National Science Foundation Research Training Group at the University of Maryland that funds fellows at four separate levels — high school, undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral — to work on quantum information science through mathematical tools including algebra, representation theory, partial differential equations, scientific computing, stochastic analysis and machine learning. The unusual breadth means the same programme can take a high school student and a postdoc in the same year. Each level has its own application with statements of interest and research goals, transcripts and references sent directly by referees; deadlines differ by level and by intake term rather than sharing one date.
