A 13-week full-time technical AI safety research programme in London, run twice a year, in which participants write a technical paper in teams of three or four under an experienced supervisor. Supervisors are drawn from Google DeepMind, the UK AI Security Institute and leading UK universities. Participants receive an GBP 11,000 stipend toward London living costs plus food, office space and travel. The programme looks for machine learning engineering experience, quantitative skills, research ability under uncertainty and strong communication; there is no fixed experience requirement.
