An independent research fellowship at Korea’s Institute for Basic Science for scientists within seven years of the PhD, or under 40 with a doctorate. Appointments run three years with a possible two-year extension subject to performance review, and annual support ranges from KRW 180 million to 300 million depending on whether the work is theoretical or experimental, with a salary of KRW 60 million to 70 million included in that figure. Fellows are hosted at IBS Research Centers across mathematics, theoretical and experimental physics, chemistry, life sciences, earth science and interdisciplinary studies.
