A 12-week Department of Defense SkillBridge fellowship that places transitioning service members inside host companies for hands-on civilian work experience, including technical and engineering roles. Fellows work Monday to Friday with their host company and join two-hour professional development sessions with Hiring Our Heroes each Friday. Participation is free for both job seekers and employers, and candidates must be on active duty or terminal leave and within 180 days of transition at the time of the programme. Cohorts run three times a year across 12 regions including Atlanta, Huntsville, San Diego, St. Louis, the National Capital Region, Texas, Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell, Fort Carson, Fort Leavenworth, Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. The 2027 Cohort 1 runs January 11 to April 1, 2027 and Cohort 2 runs May 3 to July 22, 2027.
