An 11-month paid apprenticeship-model fellowship from GRID Alternatives that builds pathways into the clean energy industry, with no prior experience required. Fellows earn $40,800 over the term plus an end-of-term award, complete more than 1,700 hours of on-the-job training on real solar installation and community projects, and receive a mentor, monthly workshops, a midyear retreat and $600 for personal professional development. Fellows have the opportunity to earn industry-recognised credentials including First Aid, OSHA 10, OSHA 30 and NABCEP Associate certifications depending on the placement. Positions are available throughout California, in Colorado and in the Washington DC area, with some remote and location-flexible roles. More than 300 people have completed the programme, and roughly 80 percent of fellows find a job within two months of finishing.
