The flagship international exchange program of the U.S. Department of State, offering Study/Research and English Teaching Assistant awards in roughly 130-160 countries. STEM applicants can design their own research or study projects and work with faculty at a host-country university or research institute. Open to U.S. citizens who hold (or will hold) a bachelor's degree by the award start and do not yet have a PhD, including graduating seniors, graduate students, and young professionals. Grants cover travel, living stipend, and related costs.
