A fellowship run by the Ecological Society of America with the National Park Service under the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units programme, pairing ecologists with parks to translate research for public audiences. Fellows receive a US$3,000 stipend paid in two instalments on delivery of approved products, and commit roughly twenty hours a month across a September-to-June cohort with virtual cohort meetings. It is open to graduate students, recent graduates, postdocs and early-career scientists within eight years of their highest degree who are US citizens or permanent residents and hold ESA membership or an affiliation with a CESU network institution. Applicants need prior science communication or public outreach experience beyond conference presentations.
