A two-year online fellowship from the American Society for Microbiology that matches master's and doctoral students in the microbial sciences with mentors drawn from government, industry, entrepreneurship, science policy, consulting and the nonprofit sector. The programme is built around mutual leadership growth, mentoring-portfolio building and networking across the ASM community. Fellows must hold a current-year ASM membership; mentors must be postdoctoral scientists, research scientists, faculty or administrators and commit to the full two-year term. Since launching in June 2022 the fellowship reports a community of 817 fellows and 732 mentors from more than 89 countries.
