Personal research-travel grants from the American Mathematical Society, funded by the Simons Foundation. As of the 2023-2024 award cycle each grant provides an early-career mathematician up to $2,500 per year for two years for research-related travel: attending a conference, visiting a university, institute or collaborator, or funding a collaborator to visit the awardee. Reimbursements go directly to the awardee, making it a personal grant. Mathematicians who already hold substantial external funding for research and travel are not eligible, and administering institutions may not charge overhead or indirect costs.
