A fellowship from the American Association of Immunologists that gives postdoctoral fellows and other junior scientists committed to a career in biomedical research direct exposure to science policy. Up to ten fellows are selected each year to learn about and take part in AAI's public policy and legislative activities, which covers federal research funding advocacy and the society's engagement with Congress and agencies. It is a route into science-policy work for researchers who want to stay connected to the immunology community rather than leave the bench permanently, and it complements AAI's separate Intersect Fellowship and its research grant programmes.
