Official Website wrc.org.za

About This Program

A graduate work-placement programme run by South Africa's Water Research Commission with support from the Department of Science and Innovation and National Treasury, forming part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus Plan. It targets unemployed graduates and matches them, through a structured three-to-four-month workplan, with hosts and mentors in public, private and development organisations across South Africa. Participants receive monthly stipends plus support for fieldtrips, equipment, data and general tools. The stated aim is to develop the next generation of innovators and thought leaders in emerging water-sector knowledge areas while improving graduate employability in water, sanitation and linked disciplines.
