About This Program

The Wildlife Society runs several student-facing awards for members in wildlife biology and related fields across North America. The Donald H. Rusch Memorial Game Bird Research Scholarship supports research in upland game bird or waterfowl biology and management, alternating between master's students in even years and doctoral students in odd years. The Ronald F. Labisky Graduate Fellowship in Wildlife Policy provides up to $10,000 to full-time graduate students in the United States, Canada or Mexico working to advance wildlife policy, and previous recipients may apply for a second year. The Student Chapter of the Year Award carries a $1,000 travel grant to the TWS Annual Conference. Nominations close on 1 May.
