Full scholarships from VLIR-UOS, the Flemish Interuniversity Council's development cooperation arm, for students from 29 eligible countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America to take a degree at a Flemish university or university college in Belgium. The award covers tuition, travel, insurance and living costs for the full duration of the programme - partial scholarships are not offered. Eligible study levels run from bachelor's programmes such as Applied Computer Science through thirteen two-year initial master's programmes, including Aquaculture, Food Technology and Rural Development, to five one-year advanced master's programmes. Age limits apply (under 35 for bachelor's and initial master's, under 45 for advanced master's), and preference goes to candidates already working in higher education, government or civil society. Calls open around mid-November for the following academic year.
