A U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs programme that pays for non-college-degree high-tech training in computer programming, computer software, data processing, information sciences, and media application. Eligibility runs to veterans discharged under conditions other than dishonorable and active-duty service members within 180 days of separating, who must have served at least 36 months on active duty and be under 62 when the application is approved. The programme is capped at 4,000 paid participants per fiscal year and the VA publishes a live count of remaining openings alongside its list of approved and preferred training providers. It cannot be used for degree programmes.
