United States Military Academy
A four-year fully funded undergraduate route into engineering and science: West Point advertises a 100 percent scholarship and zero student debt, with cadets commissioning as US Army officers on a guaranteed starting salary the academy states as $70,000. The curriculum is built around what the academy calls innovative high-tech majors, and every cadet takes a substantial engineering core regardless of major. Admission requires a congressional or service-connected nomination, a candidate fitness assessment and standardised testing, and the process normally begins in a student's junior year of high school. A period of active-duty service follows graduation.
