An NSF REU site in the University of Kansas Department of Chemistry, titled "A Summer Experience for Undergraduates Integrating Research, Education, and Career Development in an Interdisciplinary Environment". Participants receive a $7,000 stipend plus full room and board and a travel allowance, a package the department values at roughly $10,000. Cohorts are selected in the spring for that summer.
