University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
A ten-week summer research programme for students from outside UNC Chapel Hill, who carry out independent research with a Carolina Chemistry faculty mentor in any of the department's divisions: analytical, biological, inorganic, organic, physical, or polymer and materials. A small cohort works together through weekly professional development, with site visits to large pharmaceutical companies and small startups and an introduction to scientific entrepreneurship. The department confirms SUROC will be held in Summer 2027.
