A ten-week summer research internship run through UMBC's Goddard Earth Sciences Technology and Research (GESTAR) II centre, covering aerosols, remote sensing, atmospheric dynamics, precipitation and ocean observations. Participants receive a $7,000 stipend, housing and up to $400 in travel support, and no previous research experience is required. Applicants must be US citizens, nationals or permanent residents who have completed at least two years of undergraduate study and do not yet hold a bachelor's degree; applications go through the NSF ETAP portal.
