An eight-week paid Research Experiences for Undergraduates program at UMass Amherst in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, data science or statistics. Students work full-time with a faculty mentor individually or in a small group and produce a written final report. Past topics have included data science, disease modelling, algebra, discrete mathematics, mathematical physics, number theory and topology. Open to Five College undergraduates who have completed the lower-division mathematics sequence, including international students.
