A 9-week NSF REU for 10 undergraduates doing independent geoscience research (volcanology, geophysics, geochemistry, petrology) with faculty mentors, including field trips to volcanic sites and a marine research expedition. Participants receive a $6,300 stipend plus travel and room and board.
