About This Program

A paid eight-week summer biomedical research internship at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) in Arizona, open to incoming and continuing undergraduate, graduate and medical students with an Arizona high school, college or university connection. Interns work full time on a project under a TGen scientist and attend seminars on scientific writing, networking and presentation. Placements are at TGen headquarters in Phoenix, working on the genetics of cancer, diabetes and neurological disease, or at TGen North in Flagstaff, working on public health and pathogens such as Valley Fever and antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
