The Department of Defense scholarship for military spouses, renamed from My Career Advancement Account. It provides up to $4,000 toward a licence, a certification, an associate degree, national testing, or continuing education needed to maintain a credential tied to a portable career field. Eligibility covers spouses of active-duty, National Guard and Reserve component members of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Space Force serving under qualifying Title 10 orders, across all ranks and pay grades. The funding requires no repayment and can be combined with other financial aid. It is one of the most heavily used routes into IT, cybersecurity, medical coding, nursing assistant, dental assistant and laboratory technician credentials for the military spouse population, and is supported by free SECO career coaching.
