The Society of Rheology runs an annual Rheology Research Symposium immediately before its Annual Meeting, and all participants are eligible for travel grants covering the cost of attending both. The sixth symposium runs 24-25 October 2026 in Boston ahead of the 97th Annual Meeting. Any graduate student who is a member in good standing of the society and presents a paper or poster at the Annual Meeting may apply; travel grants cover up to five nights of accommodation, and full participation in the symposium plus attendance for the whole meeting is required. Local students who do not need travel funding are still encouraged to apply for the mentoring and professional development programme.
