The SME Education Foundation awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current college students pursuing technical fields that power manufacturing, including manufacturing and industrial engineering, engineering technology, automation, CNC/machining, mechatronics, and robotics. A single application is considered for more than 60 named merit- and need-based awards ranging from about $2,500 to $20,000; applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The application window runs each year from November 1 to February 1.
