A free summer academic enrichment programme for college students exploring careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, public health and other health sciences, delivered at ten partner institutions including Columbia University, Howard University, Rutgers, the University of Washington, the University of Iowa, the University of Nebraska, the University of Louisville, UTHealth Houston, UCLA with Charles R. Drew University, and Western University of Health Sciences. Coursework covers the basic sciences, quantitative reasoning, clinical exposure, career development and financial planning, and students apply through a single AAMC portal. Eligibility now includes college juniors alongside sophomores and other undergraduates with a demonstrated interest in the health professions. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has announced that its funding of the programme ends after the 2026 summer cohort, and the AAMC and ADEA are exploring how to continue the programme's mission.
