About This Program

A ten-week NNCI-funded summer research internship running 27 May to 5 August 2026 at the Southeastern Nanotechnology Infrastructure Corridor, jointly with JSNN, a partnership between North Carolina A&T and UNC Greensboro. Interns receive a $7,000 stipend with travel and housing covered, and work on nanofabrication, microfluidics, nanostructures, chemical and biological sensors, polymers and optics alongside science communication and entrepreneurship training. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents aged 18 or over, attending an institution in the southeastern United States including Puerto Rico, must not graduate before August 2026, and must not be enrolled at Georgia Tech, UNCG or NC A&T.
