About This Program

A corporate bursary run by the South African energy and chemicals group Sasol for full-time undergraduate study at Sasol-approved South African public universities. The mainstream university stream covers BEng and BSc qualifications in eleven fields - chemical, civil, electrical, electronic, industrial, mechanical and mining engineering, plus data science, and chemistry, geology and metallurgy to honours level. The award covers registration and tuition fees, books and pocket money, meal and accommodation allowances, a once-off computer and calculator allowance, and psychosocial support. Applicants must be South African citizens by birth resident permanently in South Africa; distance-learning qualifications including UNISA programmes, and dual or hybrid degrees, are excluded. Sasol states it encourages applications from women and from disadvantaged and fenceline communities, and graduates may enter Sasol's own graduate development programmes.
