RSNA Research Medical Student Grant

About This Program

A funded research placement from the Radiological Society of North America's Research and Education Foundation, aimed at medical students early enough in training to still choose academic radiology. RSNA contributes $3,000 and the sponsoring radiology or radiation oncology department matches it, for a $6,000 stipend, against a minimum ten-week full-time commitment. Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited North American medical school and RSNA members; the project must sit in a department of radiology, radiation oncology or nuclear medicine, though not necessarily at the student's own institution. Radiation oncology applications need an imaging component or a radiology co-investigator. Up to ten additional grants are set aside each cycle for students underrepresented in medicine. Distinct from the RSNA Resident/Fellow grant, which serves a later career stage.
