An international student competition, run by RoboNation and sponsored by the Office of Naval Research and NIWC Pacific, in which teams design and build an autonomous underwater vehicle and demonstrate its autonomy by completing a course of underwater tasks set to a new theme each year. Running since 1998, the competition is open to high school, undergraduate and graduate teams and is held each summer in Southern California. Teams submit technical design reports and videos alongside the in-water runs.
