The Royal Aeronautical Society's main scholarship for people entering aerospace and aviation, with an emphasis on those taking specialist training courses or unusual routes rather than a conventional university pathway. It funds paid internships, work experience, specialist training and PhD projects across the aviation, aerospace and space sectors, and also makes team awards to organisations running STEM outreach. Named awards within the scheme include the Robert Blackburn Award for aeronautical engineering, the GP Olley Award for aviation medicine and the Alan Snudden Award for air transport, maintenance, safety and human factors.
