The Regional Air Cargo Carriers Association funds four $2,500 awards a year — the Frederick W. Smith Aviation Scholarship, the Terry Hibler Memorial Scholarship, the Stanley Bernstein Aviation Scholarship and the Jeanne Cook Aviation Scholarship — for students pursuing pilot or FAA aircraft mechanic credentials. Applicants must be US citizens enrolled in an accredited aviation programme with a GPA of at least 3.0. Funds may go toward tuition, flight training expenses or the fees for acquiring new or additional licences. The application portal opens 1 May, closes 1 September, and winners are announced by 30 November. Additional awards are added as donations allow.
