Students enrolled at a Canadian university or Northern post-secondary institution (Canadian citizens or permanent residents) may request up to $6,000 per year, for up to 1 year at the undergraduate level, 2 years at the master's level and 3 years at the doctoral level. Applications go through the institution's Northern Studies Committee; students submit to their committee by November 10.
