Awards of $500 to $3,000 from the Precision Metalforming Association Educational Foundation for students heading into metalforming and precision manufacturing. Eligibility is unusually wide for a manufacturing award: high-school seniors and current post-secondary students in metalforming, manufacturing, technology, engineering, robotics or automation degree programmes qualify, and so do students in trades, job-training, apprenticeship, machining, tool-and-die, welding and stamping certificate programmes at accredited institutions. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required along with a 250-500 word personal statement on manufacturing experience and two letters of recommendation, one from a technology or engineering instructor and one from a current or recent employer. The foundation has awarded more than $277,000 to over 180 recipients since inception; the next cycle opens October 5, 2026.
