Piedmont Airlines pays tuition and testing costs directly to a student's aviation maintenance school and extends a conditional offer of employment at one of its east-coast maintenance bases, plus a fully loaded tool set; students remain responsible for books and nominal fees. The airline invoices arrangement kicks in after non-debt-bearing financial aid has been applied. Candidates enter by applying to one of Piedmont's partner schools: Mohawk Valley Community College, PIA Hagerstown, Liberty University, Aviation Institute of Maintenance Norfolk, and PIA Myrtle Beach. The 2026 intake has closed and Piedmont has said details of the 2027 cycle will follow.
