North Carolina State University
A four-year scholarship to NC State University awarded on accomplishment and potential across four areas: scholarship, leadership, service and character. Because NC State is a land-grant institution with heavy engineering, computing, agricultural and textile programmes, the award functions in practice as one of the larger merit routes into an engineering degree in the southeast. Scholars take part in structured enrichment experiences for personal and professional development alongside the financial award. Students apply directly through the programme website, with defined roles in the process for school counsellors, academic advisers and recommenders. The application is currently open.
