Official Website nsgc.org

About This Program

A Jane Engelberg Memorial Fellowship award of up to $500 supporting a research project by a genetic counseling student enrolled in an ACGC-accredited training programme. Applicants submit a written proposal of 500 words or less covering the project's aims, objective or hypothesis, statement of need, and methodology, plus a study timeline, budget, and budget justification. Proposals are scored on quality (clarity, a well-cited need, methodology that corresponds to the aims, a plausible timeline, and an appropriately allocated budget) and on innovation and fit with JEMF's published research priorities. NSGC membership is not required, though applicants need an NSGC guest account to reach the application, and funds must be used before graduation. The 2026 cycle has closed.
