An annual reverse-engineering and cryptanalysis competition developed by the US National Security Agency, in which participants work through a series of increasingly difficult technical tasks. Registration and participation are free and fully online, and the challenge doubles as a recruiting channel for NSA student programs and full-time positions. The 2025-26 edition ran from September 24, 2025 to January 14, 2026.
