Paid terms of roughly 16 weeks at the National Research Council of Canada giving students practical career-related experience in research and development, library sciences, communications, marketing and branch support roles, including the Industrial Research Assistance Program. Work can be full time during a non-academic semester or part time during an academic one, and salaries are based on the number of academic semesters a student has completed. Students get access to advanced equipment and facilities alongside NRC researchers at facilities nationwide. Foreign nationals studying at an eligible recognised Canadian institution with a valid study permit may also apply.
