Northern Maine Community College
A nine-month certificate at Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle preparing technicians for the wind energy industry. The curriculum covers wind turbine maintenance, electrical systems and power generation technology, electrical theory and the National Electrical Code, mechanical systems and workplace safety. Offshore safety training is delivered in partnership with Maine Maritime Academy, so graduates can work on offshore as well as land-based turbines.
