An NSF-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates program run by NOIRLab at its site in La Serena, Chile, during the Chilean summer from January to March. Six undergraduate students from the United States are selected for the 10-week program, working closely with a NOIRLab research mentor and experiencing professional astronomical observing firsthand. The program includes basic training in Python for astronomy, a professional development component, and Chile-specific astronomy and cultural enrichment activities. Participants receive a stipend and housing on the NOIRLab campus.
