A week-long, all-expenses-paid immersion programme run by NIIMBL, the National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals, that introduces first- and second-year college students to careers in the biopharmaceutical industry. Participants receive a $1,000 stipend on completion alongside travel, lodging and meals, and spend the week on hands-on laboratory activities, facility tours and networking with industry scientists. The 2026 cohort placed 75 students from 67 institutions across 19 states and Puerto Rico at five regional host sites - the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust, Santa Clara University, the University of Houston, The Wistar Institute in Philadelphia and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Open to domestic students living in the United States who are actively enrolled in a degree programme; more than 310 students have taken part since 2019.
