Lets doctoral students carry out all or part of their dissertation research in the NIH Intramural Research Program while enrolled full-time at a university in the U.S. or abroad. Two routes exist: individual partnerships, open to currently enrolled doctoral students worldwide including U.S. citizens, permanent residents and foreign nationals; and institutional partnerships, long-standing agreements with specific university programs that students apply to directly. Open to students pursuing a PhD, DPhil, PharmD, DrPH, PsyD, MD/PhD or DVM/PhD. Students work in a Principal Investigator's research group on any NIH campus, including the main campus in Bethesda, Maryland. Master's students are directed to the Academic Internship Program instead.
