The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's paid college internship, open to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students across a wide range of degree fields depending on agency need, with geospatial science, remote sensing, data science, computer science and cartography at the centre of the mission. Interns receive paid sick and annual leave, paid federal holidays, a flexible schedule and access to agency facilities. A Top Secret/SCI clearance is required and the vetting process can take anywhere from about two months to more than a year, so applicants should apply well ahead. Interns who complete 480 hours and receive a successful evaluation may convert to full-time employment after graduation subject to hiring needs. Note that NGA discontinued its high school internship, Geo-Scholarship and Stokes programmes in 2025; the college internship continues. Contact [email protected].
