A renewable Nebraska scholarship of up to $15,000 per year covering tuition, fees, required tools and equipment including books, room and board, for students in programmes leading to high-wage, high-skill, high-demand careers. Administered by Nebraska's Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education with the state's community colleges and, under a parallel track, its private colleges. Eligible occupational categories include architecture and engineering, computer and technology assistance, healthcare practitioners and technical occupations, construction and extraction, installation, maintenance and repair, production, transportation and material moving, farming, fishing and forestry, business and administrative operations, and education. Applicants must be Nebraska residents entering as first-time freshmen or transfers, and must register with the campus office to secure a Nebraska-based internship, apprenticeship, clinical placement, experiential learning activity or employment before completing the programme. Students apply through their chosen college, not the state.
