About This Program

The national collegiate cybersecurity competition of the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity, built specifically for students who have never competed before. Rather than pitting newcomers against established teams, the format focuses on teamwork, confidence and skill-building so first-timers can learn how competitions and scoring actually work. Any student from an NCAE-C designated school who is new to competitions may register, and organisers will help build teams at any participating college where students are interested but lack a team or faculty advisor. The season runs through regional events into a national invitational; the 2026 season fielded 13 regional champions with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas taking the invitational title, and a 2027 season is planned.
